The most common type of sage - White Sage.
Good for banishing negative energy and cleansing an area, white sage powerful and gives of a strong odour. Where Black sage cleanses and protects the astral planes, White sage can cleanse and protect the physical plane. As sentient beings we pick up bad energy through the day. Be that from other people or generating it yourself. Did you have a bad day at work or an argument with a friend? Maybe you had the mother in law round and she gave of that thick energy and left it in your beautiful home before leaving! No matter the reason white Sage can help. A good smudge stick to have lying around for a general energy tidy up.

How to use
Have a fire proof bowl to hand and light one end of the stick, waft the smoke over yourself and over the environment around you. Ensure a window is open to allow any negative smoke to leave the room. The room and yourself should feel ‘lighter’ once complete. However it is different for everyone.

Should you be seeking to clear stagnant or negative energy White Sage should do the job. If your wanting to cleanse and protect an environment due to unwanted spirits / negative energy then Black sage will serve you well.
