Calendula was originally native to countries along the Mediterranean Sea, however can now be found growing naturally in most parts of the world. Calendula is a close cousin to the marigold, and at times referred to as such, however they do hold different properties. Calendula name came from the location it is said to bloom; on the “calends.
Given Calendula possesses such warm energy you would be forgiven to relate it intimately with the sun, and indeed it is the sun that governs it however Calendula also has an interesting connection with the moon.
